Adult Protective Services (APS)
If you suspect abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a vulnerable adult, you should contact APS. APS is a program within the Arizona Department of Economic Security (AZDES) and is responsible for investigating reports and safeguarding vulnerable adults from harm.
In addition to the hotline, you can also file a report online 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Visit this link and follow the instructions to submit a report electronically.
When making a report, please provide as much information as possible, including the person’s name, age, location, and a detailed description of the suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation. While you may be asked to provide your own name and contact information, anonymous reports are also accepted.

Protecting vulnerable Arizonans, especially seniors is one of the core tenants of the Arizona Attorney General's Office. The Elder Affairs Unit, created by Attorney General Kris Mayes, is focused on stopping and prevent elder abuse and neglect -- whether its scams and fraud, or abuse and neglect.
