Thank you for visiting the Speak Up AZ website, a Department of Economic Security (DES) agency website, and reviewing our Privacy Policy Statement. Pursuant to A.R.S. § 41-4152 et seq., all agencies of the State of Arizona shall contain a Privacy Policy Statement. This disclosure addresses collection, use and security of and access to information that may be obtained through the use of the Speak Up AZ website. Your rights to privacy are of utmost importance to the State of Arizona in building trust and confidence when conducting business through the Internet.

Online Customer Service and Alternatives

The Department of Economic Security offers many of the services online that you might otherwise transact in person. Our goal is to provide citizens a more convenient and efficient means with which to interact with Arizona government. If you choose not to participate in these activities, your choice will in no way affect your ability to receive benefits or services. If you prefer to apply for benefits or services in person, you may do so at the respective State agency providing such benefits and/or services.

Collection and Use of Information

The State of Arizona does not collect information about you unless you voluntarily participate in an activity that asks for such information. The information requested and supplied by you through the web, is the same information requested if performed in person at a State agency. Please be aware that in the State of Arizona, laws exist to ensure that state government is open and that the public has a right to access appropriate records and information possessed by the state. However, if personal information is requested on the website or volunteered by the user, state law and the federal Privacy Act of 1974 may protect it. Should you have any questions, contact the agency directly about the records we keep and our use of information.

Security

The Department of Economic Security has taken several steps to safeguard the integrity of its computer systems and networks. Including, but not limited to, individual authentication, the security of transmitted data, security monitoring, auditing, and encryption of your information. Security methods and measures have been integrated into the design, implementation and day-to-day practices of the entire Speak Up AZ website.

Social Media Websites

In order to best communicate and engage with the citizens of Arizona, DES maintains accounts on third-party websites such as popular social media channels. Information about you and your activity on those sites is governed by the third-party website's security and privacy policies. Regarding communication with DES on those sites, please reference our Terms of Use which outlines acceptable behavior for participation on DES social media channels.

  1. When you opt-in to the service, we will send you a message to confirm your signup. Text 86684 to receive text messages from Family Assistance Administration and/or Division of Development Disabilities! Message and data rates may apply. Text "HELP" for help. Text "STOP" to cancel all text messages from AZDES.

    Text “JOINFAA” to receive text messages from Family Assistance Administration! Message and data rates may apply. You will receive 1 message per request. Text "HELP" for help. Text "STOPFAA" to cancel.

    Text “JOINDDD” to receive text messages from Division of Development Disabilities! Message and data rates may apply. You will receive 1 message per request. Text "HELP" for help. Text "STOPDDD" to cancel.

  2. You can cancel this service at any time from Family Assistance Administration. Just text “STOPFAA” to 86684. After you send the message “STOPFAA” to us, we will send reply message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed to that specific campaign.

    You can cancel this service at any time from Division of Development Disabilities. Just text “STOPDDD” to 86684. After you send the message “STOPDDD” to us, we will send reply message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed to that specific campaign.

    Text "STOP" to 86684 to stop receiving text messages from all DES campaigns that you may have joined. After you send the message "STOP" to us, we will send you a reply message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive messages from us.

    If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time, and we will start sending messages to you again.

  3. If at any time you forget what keywords are supported, just text "HELP" to 86684. After you send the message "HELP" to us, we will respond with instructions on how to use our service as well as how to unsubscribe.

  4.   5. T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

  6. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
